It is that time of the year again! The registration is now open. The Nairobi Innovation Week starts from the 1st of August to 5th August 2016.
During the official launch of the Nairobi Innovation week 2016 roadmap in mid March, the Vice Chancellor remarked that an innovations driven economy is the best practice in both developed and developing nations of the world.
“Moreover, business – oriented innovations create employment for the youth thus tap into the readily available skilled labor,” he added.
This year’s Nairobi Innovation week is dubbed Partnerships for innovations that truly impact people and societies. In line with vision 2030, technological innovation is expected to play an integral role in achieving the set out vision.
The first edition, held between 3rd-7th August 2015, attracted over 800 delegates, 13 sponsors, 50 exhibitors and over 50 research papers. This year’s edition is edition is expected to attract over 1500 delegates both local and international.
This year’s edition will bring together various stakeholders and policy makers to a common platform where they are expected to engage each other to achieve a common goal of national prosperity through Innovation and entrepreneurship.
At the same time, the five-day event features innovation exhibitions to potential investors by researchers, startups, as well as corporates.
With the lead partner in this year’s edition being UNICEF, other strategic partners include Ministry of ICT, the Ministry of industrialization and Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
